The Public Interest Law Unit is a not for profit legal project that is part of Lambeth Law Centre. Our funding is generated from legal aid, and charitable grants. In winning cases we are also entitled to our costs from the opponent.
After paying wages, and the rent on our office, costs are ploughed back into developing our work.
Our plan is to develop not just quality strategic litigation, but also quality legal research that can assist that litigation.
We also need to develop funding particularly in cases where legal aid is not available, or simply that the Legal Aid Agency refuses to fund. Therefore we call on our supporters to support our work. Alldonations will go to our pro bono work and research.
