Ruth recently joined the Public Interest Law Unit alongside her work for Lambeth Law Centre’s Debt and Housing teams.
To date, Ruth has assisted lawyers with various aspects of public law, including immigration bail applications and compensation claims against the Home Office, judicial reviews of planning decisions, and drafting notes to counsel on various cases.
Prior to joining us, Ruth worked in a research capacity for several departments at a Magic Circle law firm, and assisted with commercial pro bono projects during her time there. Ruth also volunteers at the Free Representation Unit and Liberty, and presently consults for Farore Law, a specialist firm in cases involving
discrimination, harassment, and related mental health issues.
Ruth has a marked interest in social welfare law, and was Called to the Bar of England and Wales in November 2017. Ruth intends to commence study for a Master of Laws in September 2018, and hopes to secure pupillage in due course.
