The Public Interest Law Centre operates under the umbrella of  Lambeth Law Centre. We are a not-for-profit legal aid firm and we do not as a matter of principle conduct private fee paying legal casework.

Nearly all of our casework is conducted under a public law legal aid contract administered through the Legal Aid Agency.

Details about the legal aid scheme can be found here.

In some cases PILC will work pro bono. We have in the past secured costs capping orders on certain cases and we have been able to raise some funds towards legal costs/fees via crowd funding.
